5 String Banjo-This is a custom made Deering Banjo (see link) that I designed for a specific sound I wanted. It has a 4" deep pot and a wooden tone ring. This gives it a bright but mellow, woody sound, perfect for playing my style of clawhammer banjo.

The signatures on the inside are from some of my banjo heroes that I have worked with over the years: Doc Watson, Grandpa Jones, Pete Seeger, Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, Tommy Jarrell, Roy Acuff, Earl Scruggs, Wade Mainer and John Hartford.
